DVD drive won't recognize DVDs, but plays audio and CD-ROM discs
So, the problem isnt that it cant read it the cd, it just cant find the boot information IT needs at boot time. I checked for a newer version of the Bios, but Im running the latest (v2002). Cant Read CDs
Sometimes It can read a CDR, CDRW disk, Sometimes It cant. (If it cant read it the first time, it never can) I have tried all the different file formats with no success. The disk can be read everytime in my other computer. I think I have a bad DVDdrive, opinions? I have tried everything I can think of.

I set it up so because I was running out of power sockets in the comp.... and now I cant read anything... the strange thing is that my burner (who doesnt share anything) has the The wires that have the same voltage are all connected together in the computer. You shuld be ok in connecting the fans to the dvd.
